FAQs

What is the process?

  1. Place your order.
  2. Send your milk following the directions of your email.
  3. I will preserve your milk and create your ring based on your design requests.
  4. I will send you your personal keepsake.

How long does it take to get my piece?

The current turnaround time to get your piece in is about four weeks once I receive your milk and all inclusions.

What inclusions are offered and what inclusions can I add?

I currently offer shimmer, gold and silver flakes, and various colored flowers. You can add several inclusions to your piece such as a lock of hair, placenta, umbilical cord, ashes, and personal flowers. If there are any further questions, please email me at kylee@bondedthroughmilk.com and we can discuss specific design requests.

Does my piece have to be made with breastmilk?

No! Although I specialize in breastmilk jewelry, I can make other types of keepsakes such as preserving your wedding flowers, or preserving ashes from a loved one that has passed.

How much milk do you need and can I send in more?

I only need half an ounce of breastmilk! Please do not send anymore, as it increases the risk of spillage during the shipping process.

Does my milk have to be fresh?

No! Expired and frozen milk are completely acceptable. Please ensure you are defrosting any frozen milk and sending it in a new, sterile breastmilk bag.

What are my options if I have weaned or if I did not breastfeed?

If you have weaned, or chose not to breastfeed, I offer donor breastmilk.
